UNL Celebrate's Womens History Month

Wikipedia is the most used reference site in the world but only roughly 12% of its editors are female. Coverage of female scientists, poets, engineers, and other careers is seriously lacking.

On March 15th, 2016 as a part of Women's Week, a diverse group of individuals came together to help close the gender gap on Wikipedia and became Wiki editors! We had four stations at the event to cover the entire writing process: Choosing a topic, researching, writing and editing, and (of course) celebrating! For each article that was created or substantially added to, Aspen Lincoln donated $5 to a YWCA SMART Girls. We raised $255 for YWCA SMART Girls with the help of of Aspen, our sponsors, and participants!

Is your daughter creative and imaginative? Sign her up for SMART Girls Club where she will put her creativity to work designing solutions to real world problems!
