CATCH

Program Objectives: The program objectives of CATCH – Life Skills Program is to be the next level of support and mentorship for high school girls ages 15-18.  This program is a key developmental asset factor for the prevention of school to prison pipeline, teen pregnancy, drug & alcohol addiction, and low-self-esteem/self-image; while sparking their highest potential.

Our goal is to CATCH 12 high school girls from the following three high schools in Lincoln:

Lincoln High – (4 girls)

North Star – (4 girls)

Northeast – (4 girls)

We will accept girls from all Lincoln Area High Schools!


The sessions will be accomplished in 4 modules:

Careers – 7-8 weeks

College – 7-8 weeks

Financial Literacy – 7-8 weeks

Identity Development/Honoring Our Diversity – 7-8 weeks


The sessions will take place virtually once per week for 60min.  Please make sure you have the Zoom App.  YWCA Lincoln CATCH Life Skills takes place Monday evenings at 6 pm on Zoom.

 

Each girl will participate in their personal and consistent 30-minute mandatory Mentorship Sessions with Miss Andrea once per month additional mentorship piece for each individual girl to build their personal portfolio.  

Each girl who participates consistently for at least 3 of the 4 modules will receive a tablet at graduation.

There is a mandatory parent/youth orientation provided virtually!

Orientation for YWCA-Lincoln CATCH Life Skills Program will take place by appointment only!
