There are 12 young women on the 2009-2010 Young Women's Advisory Board. The young women provide insight to YWCA Lincoln regarding youth programs that affect their peers. The young women are also working to raise funds for YWCA Lincoln. Applications for the 2010-2011 school year are now being accepted. To download the application click here.
The YWCA Lincoln's Young Women's Advisory Board is working in conjunction with Jen Landis from Pincurl Girl to sell "I believe in myself" bracelets. The bracelets are used to boost self-confidence by the power of positive thinking. Throughout the day, with each deliberate positive thought about yourself, shift one bracelet to the opposite wrist. One wrist shows goals for the day, the other tracks accomplishments.
Proceeds from the bracelet sales go to the YWCA Lincoln. Bracelets can also be purchased and donated to girls participating in programs through YWCA Lincoln. Bracelets are $13.90 which includes tax.
