What is it? Provides funds for respite to primary caregivers of individuals with special needs.

 

Who needs it? Primary caregivers who may be over stressed and need a short “break” from caregiving duties. They may need to rest, see to their own mental & physical needs, visit friends, go grocery shopping .. And come back refreshed and a more capable caregiver!

 

Who may qualify for this program? It is available to families not receiving services from any other government program. Eligibility is determined by family income, disability-related expenses, etc.

 

What respite funds are available? Up to $125 per month for respite is allowed, based on a family’s monthly adjusted income. A services coordinator can help determine if you are eligible. For help in locating a provider, call 1-866-RESPITE (737-7483).
